Intro to our interracial relationship

Yay, first post!

Before we write about anything else, we think that we should first start by introducing ourselves: who we are, what we do, and why we do this.

Who we are

What is Tropicalov

Our initial idea is that we want to create a journal of our journey. We want to be able to look back and learn from what happened in our life, and hopefully, we can become better partners for each other.

When we laid out the plan for making this blog, we thought we would like to focus on the interracial aspect of our partnership. This is because the journey we’ve had for the past one year has been very rewarding. We discovered things about ourselves that eventually strengthened our relationship. In the future, we would also like to reach out to other cross-cultural couples so that we can share and learn from one another. Perhaps we can even help other couples to navigate similar challenges to those that we have!

As introverts, it is a bit hard for us to talk about ourselves, so forgive us if there are some parts that we still would like to keep private (such as not showing pictures of us). But we do share real things, such as how we tackle real problems in our relationship.

We have no idea where this is going to lead. But we both agree, as long as we’re having fun doing it, and if we can somehow connect with other people, we will keep on sharing our stories. Last but not least, we would love to know more about you, so do share the story, and please comment below!
